Chesterfield Towne Center has announced that Hollister Co. and Aldo will be opening this summer as part of an ongoing remerchandising effort. These are the first Chesterfield County locations for both stores. Barnes & Noble will open later this month. Red Robin and Coldwater Creek opened earlier this year. In April, the board approved the rezoning for Chippenham Place, the redevelopment of Cloverleaf Mall. Planned is a mixed-use development of 400,000 square-feet of retail and office uses, and 520 housing units. Construction is anticipated to begin by the end of this year. Jessica Erin Barlow is the recipient of the 2008 Pamplin Leader Award at Midlothian High School. The annual award is a one-year $1,000 scholarship to Virginia Tech presented to a top student from each high school in Virginia. The opening of the new Chesterfield Senior Center occurred on April 23. The center is a place where seniors can meet, socialize and share their lives. The center is located in the Episcopal Church of Our Savior on Stigall Drive. New interpretative signage at Mid-Lothian Coal Mines Park will be installed this summer. In March, SAARA, the Substance Abuse and Addiction
Recovery Alliance of Virginia, opened a recovery The Kids ‘R’ Kids School of Quality Learning, is building a 17,000-square-foot facility on Temie Lee Parkway. The school plans to open this summer.
