Revitalization Office

The Revitalization Office facilitates citizen, business, and government efforts to improve and sustain the aging communities of Chesterfield County. Major projects and programs to eliminate blight in the Jefferson Davis Corridor, Village of Ettrick, and Eastern Midlothian Turnpike Corridor have been initiated and implemented. Blight prevention efforts are beginning for the other older County communities.

Strategy

Chesterfield County’s strategy to improve and maintain its older neighborhoods, business areas, and communities is a three part strategy:

  1. Eliminate the blighted areas and influences along the Jefferson Davis Corridor, the Village of Ettrick, and Eastern Midlothian Turnpike and restore these communities to economic and social health.
  2. Restore communities, showing early signs of blight, to full health.
  3. Prevent blight from occurring in other older county neighborhoods, business areas, and communities.
