Guidelines for Attending Programs
No matter age or interests, there are library programs for you!
To help everyone have the best experience,
please read and follow our guidelines.
- Program Registration: Most library programs require registration of every individual attending. For the best experience, please register. This includes adults accompanying children.
Registration for programs begins two weeks before the program. In cases where an event is repeated at more than a single location, registration for all the performances for a program open on the same date, two weeks before the first performance. Registrations are non-transferable.
If you supplied your email address, you will receive an online registration confirmation. If you are using spam filters, your confirmation may be diverted to your spam folder. Please type your email address carefully. The library is not responsible for misaddressed confirmations or other delivery problems. If you are only providing your phone number, you will only receive a confirmation number at the time you are registering.
- Age Recommendations: Please follow the age recommendations listed in the program description.
- 10 Minute Rule: Please arrive no later than 10 minutes before the start of the program to have time to sign in and find your seat.
Likewise, out of respect for other customers as well as presenters, if you are more than 10 minutes late for a program, you may be denied entry. Staff can help you find a different performance to attend.
- Groups: Library programs are provided in library meeting rooms that have limited capacity and are designed for individual attendees, except at Central Library.
Organizations interested in bringing a group of 10 or more to a library program may register their individual group members to attend the programs held at Central Library. The organization is responsible for registering each individual child that they bring to the program using the program's online registration.
- Cancellations: Customers may cancel their own reservation if they have their confirmation number. Submit cancellation here
