Youth Group Home

YGH living roomDaily Living Program

The residents attend public schools while at the Youth Group Home. Recreational activities are regularly scheduled. Counseling services for young people and their families may be provided on-site or obtained from local agencies. Employment is encouraged, and the John H. Thomas Youth Group Home will assist with transportation when possible. Religious and medical needs will be accommodated to every extent possible.

YGH bedroomGuidance in self-esteem improvement, social skills and daily hygiene, as well as vocational/career counseling, are included as part of the John H. Thomas Youth Group Home Program.

Family involvement is encouraged at the Youth Group Home. On-site visitation is held twice per week. Off campus visits with family are earned as part of the program. Parenting classes are offered to help ensure a smooth transition when young people return to the family.
