The Accounting Department is responsible for:

Ensuring
fiscal integrity through the establishment of sound processes that
safeguard assets

Disbursing
funds for County departments and Chesterfield County Public Schools
-
Processing
and managing an accurate and timely payroll for all County employees
-
Accurately
recording and reporting financial data in compliance with GAAP, GASB,
FASB, State and Federal requirements
-
Administering
the general ledger and fixed asset systems for recording and reporting
financial activity
-
Assisting
County departments with identification of funding sources for grants,
the application processes, and compliance
-
Providing
fiscal agent services for the Greater Richmond Convention Center
Authority".
- Serve as fiscal agent
for various organizations.
