General Accounting
Major Services

Maintain current and
historical financial records in accordance with legal requirements
and/or customer needs.

Compile and produce
the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, Auditor of Public
Accounts Comparative Cost Report, and Bureau of Census F-28 Report
that meet
GAAP, GASB, State and Federal reporting requirements.

Compile and produce
official statements and Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) updates
-
Provide guidance to
departments on internal controls for new procedures.

Monitor/review of transactions
to ensure funds are expended in accordance with legal and regulatory
requirements, budgetary control, and other policies.

Process and maintain
records for miscellaneous accounts receivable.
-
Develop county-wide
policies and procedures to provide for the safeguarding and accountability
of county assets and resources.

Analyze, process, and
monitor transactions and reconcile accounts.
-
Complete reimbursement
requests for the receipt of funds from Federal agencies, State agencies,
other localities, and trustees.
Miscellaneous Accounts Receivable
General Accounting performs miscellaneous accounts receivable billing
functions on behalf of other departments. Some of the services that we
