Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors
Marleen K. Durfee was elected as the Matoaca District Supervisor on November 6, 2007, and began her term of 4 years on January 1, 2008.
Mrs. Durfee is 21-year resident of Chesterfield County. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University. Upon graduation, she pursued master’s level course work in public administration. Throughout the years, she has held several administrative positions.
Mrs. Durfee served as the Technical Advisory Coordinator for the Regional Summit for DUI in the Hampton Roads area and was appointed to serve as a member of Governor Warner’s Task Force to combat DUI.
Mrs. Durfee has been active in the community for several years and in 2002, she founded the Responsible Growth Alliance of Chesterfield County. She is also a founding member of the Partnership for Smarter Growth, a regional organization.
Mrs. Durfee and her husband of 25 years, Jim, have two daughters. Her oldest daughter graduated from Chesterfield County Public Schools and attends Virginia Tech. Her youngest is currently in 10th grade.
Mrs. Durfee is an active member of her church, Episcopal Church of the Redeemer.
