The Chesterfield County Emergency Communications Center is the public safety answering point for Chesterfield County. We are an integral link in the public safety chain for Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Fire, Police, Animal Control and Sheriff departments. Equipped with the latest technologies in Computer Aided Dispatching, enhanced 9-1-1 telephone systems and 800 MHz digital regional radio systems, information is documented, relayed, and verbalized to emergency personnel within seconds. Our staff is made up of well-trained career professionals.

Our Mission is to be the vital link in the chain of Public Safety by providing Emergency and Non-Emergency Communications with compassion and professionalism while striving for excellence in customer service.

Our Vision is to save lives and property through our dedication by providing a quick and accurate response.

Our Strategic Goals

  1.  Provide quality access for reporting emergencies and non-emergencies by answering telephone calls in a timely manner.
  2. Respond consistently and provide a timely entry and dispatch of calls for service for the County’s Police and Fire/EMS departments within response-time standards.
  3. Attract and retain a diverse and well-qualified applicant pool and a high-performing work force by creating a superior work environment that promotes effective leadership, teamwork, innovation and employee well being.
  4. To provide quality customer service.
  5. To increase Public Awareness of 911 services.
