Fire & Life Safety House

Fire & Life Safety HouseThe latest fire death figures show that nearly 5,000 Americans die in home fires annually. The vast majority of these fire victims are children and the elderly. Education is a powerful tool in fighting fires and is a potential life saver. Through the efforts of several sponsors, Chesterfield Fire & E.M.S. purchased a fully operational training/teaching simulator. The Fire and Life Safety House is an actual "structure" where children learn about home fire safety in a realistic setting. Children are taught vital lessons such as "crawl low in smoke", "have a home escape plan and practice it", "how to make an emergency call", and many other home safety tips.

If your organization would like more information on or to schedule the Fire & Life Safety House, please call the Fire & Life Safety Division at (804) 748-1426 or email the Fire and Life Safety House.
